In House vs. Private Practice vs. Academia vs. Chambers, Courts & Inns
The In House Pro Bono Group invites you to a legal community virtual fitness challenge!
Which team has what it takes to be the most active: In House vs. Private Practice vs. Academia vs. Chambers, Courts & Inns? Join colleagues in your respective category to compete to be the most active group, while raising much-needed funds for charities impacted by COVID-19.
Our challenge will kick-off on 22 April and will run through 22 June. Join us at any time during this period.
Donate! Make a minimum £10 donation to one of the many outstanding charities impacted by COVID-19. If your organisation has a charity of choice, donate to them. If not and you are unsure who to donate to – The Access to Justice Foundation and the London Legal Support Trust have set up an Emergency Advice Appeal (the first £200,000 will be matched, doubling your donation to support frontline free legal services), Advocate, the Bar’s national charity, matches barristers with members of the public who need free legal help or The Connection at St-Martin-in-the-Fields provides ongoing support to rough sleepers in London during the crisis.
Sign up! Sign up on ChallengeRunner (either by clicking the button below for direct access, scanning the QR code), choose your team: In House / Private Practice / Academia / Chambers, Courts & Inns.
Drop us a line! Help us measure the success of our combined efforts by notifying us of your total donations and charity partner(s). If you are responsible for centralising donations within your organisation for this challenge, please notify us by 22 May as an interim update with total donations to date and charity partner(s) and by 22 June with final numbers. If your organisation is not centralising donations or if you’re not sure, please send us this information when you sign up. We’re on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Follow us! Follow us on social media @InHouseProBono. We will use Instagram to post occasional bonus challenges (including in connection with the London Legal Support Trust’s 10,000 Steps Challenge on 8 June) where participants can earn bonus activity minutes for their team. Tag us in photos and videos of your workout and each week we will feature the top photos and workout ideas.
Get active! Starting anytime from 22 April, log your active minutes on ChallengeRunner – whether that’s running on a treadmill, a daily walk outside or working out in your living room. Log your minutes daily for accurate results. Forgot to log a day? No problem – you can log 7 days in arrears. You can log minutes via the ChallengeRunner website but we recommend downloading the app for ease of use. The team with the highest ‘active minutes’ recorded by 22 June wins bragging rights.
Encourage others! Share this link with anyone in the legal field – whether that be your peers, your colleagues, your clients or your friends. The more participants we have, the more fun the challenge and most importantly, the more money we can raise for our charity partners.
How does the leaderboard work?
The ChallengeRunner leaderboard is updated in real time and you can watch your team results live!
Leaderboards will show results by team as well as by individual (you can customise your name in your Account Profile) so you can see where you stand compared to colleagues across the profession! The more we publicise the challenge within our communities, the more minutes we can log for our teams and the more funds we can raise for our charity partners.
Any questions along the way, drop us a line on email@example.com
Good luck, let’s keep active together and may the best team win!!
